General Questions

What is a Media Booth?
A Media Booth is a portable rack that can record things on different media.  Photos can be taken and printed instantly and Video can be recorded.  We wanted to be able to offer more than a standard photo booth like others are offering.

Will someone be available to assist us with the operation of the Media Booth?
Yes - Our Media Booth will have an attendant who will make sure that the Media Booth is working properly and help your guests with any of their needs.
How many sessions can the Media Booth handle during my event?
That depends on many factors.  In Photo Booth mode some factors are the amount of photos that are taken and how many prints are printed out.  Usually a session takes between one and two minutes which includes the printing time.  Usually we see about 25-35 sessions per hour.
Do my guest have any options in the Media Booth?
Yes - Depending on how the Media Booth is set up they may have some options on what to do, record or print.  For example if it is set up as a Photo Booth they have the option to have their photos taken as color or black & white.
What type of equipment do you use?
We use professional equipment in our Media Booths to deliver very high quality photos and video.  For Photos we use Canon EOS digital cameras and Sony Dye-Sublimation printers.  For Video we use Canon HDSLR cameras.

Can you transport your Media Booth to anywhere else than a ground floor.
Yes - If the location you want to have the Media Booth setup is anywhere other than a ground floor we will need elevator or ramp access to the location.  Although our Media Booth is portable it still weighs over a hundred pounds and therefore is on wheels.

How much space do I need for the Media Booth?
If you get the open air style booth an area about 6 feet by 6 feet is usually large enough for the booth and the guests.  If you get the enclosed Media Booth we require an area that is 10 feet by 10 feet and need the ceiling to be 9 feet or higher in this area to accommodate the canopy & draping. 

How will my guests know how to use the Media Booth?
The Media Booth includes a screen that will instruct your guests on what to do.  Usually a guest will just need to press a lighted button.

Is your Media Booth Wheelchair accessible?
Yes - Our Media Booth is approximately 5 feet long by 5 feet wide which is more than ample space to accomodate a wheelchair.  The sides of the Media Booth are made of fabric so they can be moved if necessary also to make more room.

Do you have any props for our guests to use?
Yes - We have a prop box that can be used by you and your guests.  This may be included in your package or it may be an extra fee.

Can we choose the background color behind our guests?
Yes - We have an assortment of colors to choose from.
What happens if a guest takes an inappropriate photo or video?
That is up to you.  You can have everything published online just as they were taken or you can have us flag any inappropriate media to not be uploaded online.

How long does it take to setup the Media Booth?
It typically takes about 30 minutes to setup the Media Booth but we will arrive at the location anywhere between one and two hours before the event to setup in case there are any un-forseen issues.

I would like my photobooth setup for my entire event but I only want it to be used for a few hours.  How would we handle this situation?
We can setup as early as you wish or stay as late as you wish.  If we are requested to be at the event longer than the actual operation of the Media Booth we will charge for idle time in one hour incruments. 

Where is the best place to setup the Media Booth?
 Generally the Media Booth will have more guests if it is setup where everyone can see it.  This maybe in a corner in the room or near the bar.  We will work with you and your event manager to help you with the best place to set it up.

Can the Media Booth be setup outdoors?
Yes - It can be placed outdoors but it will need to sheltered from the sun, wind & rain.  Many times we are setup under a 10' x 10' pop-up canopy that is provided by the host.   If you don't have a shelter available to us we can rent one to you.  We will also need to have the Media Booth placed near an electrical outlet since it runs on electricity.

Are you insured?
Yes - We are insured for up to $2 million dollars.


Photobooth Mode

How many photos can I take during my rental period?
You and your guests can take as many photos as you would like during your rental period.

How many guests can fit in the Media Booth?
We have had as many as 8 people in the Media Booth at one time.  

 How many photos print out for each session?
You can pick how many you would like to print out for each guest session.  The default is one which means if there are multiple people taking photos at the same time in the booth only one will print out at the event.  If the format is for photostrips, 2 will print out.

Can I print out more than one photo per guest session?
Yes - For an extra fee we can setup the Media Booth to print out as many copies as you would like per guest session.

What is the quality of the photos that are printed on-site?
All of the photos are taken with VERY high resolution cameras even though they are printed on a small photostrip or 4"x6".   The prints will be fade resistant and ccording to the printer manufacturer, they are "expected to last 100 years under proper conditions."

If I didn't get a photo can I obtain one after the event?
Yes - If included in your package the photos will be posted online for download, purchase or printing.
How do I see the photos online?
Click on " View Galleries" to the left and then choose "Proceed to Media Galleries".  You and your guests may be prompted for a password to enter the gallery.  We can choose the password or you can.  Usually we have the website address and password printed on the photos at the event.
Can I customize the layout or the look and text on my prints?
Yes - We can create custom templates for your photos.  You can have many different layouts and themes.  If you choose to have photostrips printed you can have 3 or 4 photos taken session.  We can add your event date or a logo if preferred also.  You can view some samples under the "Samples" link.  This is included in some packages and can be added as an additional fee if not included.
I'm ready to rent the Media Booth.  What do I do next?
Give us a call at (815) 676-5275.  We require an initial payment of 50% of your cost to reserve the date.  The remainder of the balance is due 2 weeks prior to your event.
